zelda garbage

some zelda sketches from my tumblr, compiled in a bigass document for DA. i pretty much ended up learning to draw because of this series (mainly cuz of the art in the LTTP instruction book) so i like to pay homage to it every now and then. and of course some of the titles are amongst my favourite games ever made.

these are re-interpretations of some of the characters, if any of you have looked through the hyrule historia artbook (which is fucking brilliant by the way) there's a load of alternate designs/concept art which i found really inspiring. i've grown wary of using the term 'redesign' because it's developed a bit of a stigma amongst the art community, namely due to a few prolific artists coming across as presenting their designs as superior. but whatever, just enjoy the art
